Chocolate-Kissed Cheesecake Brownies

Cooking with kids is so much fun! My son, EJ, and I had a blast making his favorite dessert. This time we added the unexpected twist of a chocolate candy kiss on top – this recipe is a keeper!

In order to make this dish a breeze for school-age kids to make on their own, we started with a store-bought fudge brownie mix. It’s easy enough to use a scratch recipe if you prefer.

Chocolate- Kissed Cheesecake Brownie Recipe

Ingredients:

Store-bought brownie mix 12 chocolate candy kisses 4 eggs 8-ounce package of cream cheese 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup water

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Combine brownie mix, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup oil and 1/4 cup water in large mixing bowl Beat on low speed until well combined Make cheesecake batter Stir cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla in medium size mixing bowl until well combined Spray cupcake tin with coconut oil or other cooking spray Fill cupcake tin halfway with brownie batter (set extra batter aside) Evenly divide cheesecake batter over brownie batter Pour a teaspoon or so of brownie batter over middle of cheesecake batter Bake 20 minutes Remove from oven place a chocolate kiss over each cheesecake brownie Place back in oven to bake for 3-5 minutes
