Easy Apple Butter Danish

Apple Butter Danish - Vermilion Lane Blog

Let’s be honest, nobody wants to spend a a lot of money or time in the kitchen. We simply want delicious food to come floating out of that happy place -- perfectly portioned, beautifully prepared, and without a single dish to wash – gourmet quality every time.

Okay, so I can’t promise all of that, but with this quick and easy recipe I can get you pretty darn close to perfection every time. I love that there are just a few everyday ingredients so I always have them on hand. Sometimes, I make a batch of these in the evening (after the kids have gone to bed) so breakfast is set for a couple of mornings. It may not seem like much but with three kids, every minute makes a difference at my house.

The glaze is the perfect finishing touch.

Allow danish to cool at 10-15 minutes before drizzling glaze on top. Serve warm.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the dough is puffed and golden brown. Cool 10 minutes.

  8. Repeat steps 1-7 with second puff pastry sheet.

  9. In a medium size mixing bowl, combine glaze ingredients, adding milk slowly until mixture in smooth (you may not need all the milk). Drizzle glaze over danish. Serve warm or at room temperature.
