Planting Mums: Fall Flower Pots

Maintaining fresh flower pots can get expensive. This is a great way to make your plantings last longer (depending on the weather conditions in your area), saving you time and money.

Simply take leftover summer pots, salvage longer blooming summer annuals and add fall plants to the mix.

The result is a gorgeous arrangement that will look lush and different from typical fall potted plants.

When selecting mums, be sure to pick bud-filled plants. Walk right by the beautifully in bloom variety at the garden store, they'll only last a couple of weeks. The ones covered in buds with very few flowers blooming will last throughout the season.
