"She did not talk to people as if they were strange hard shells she had to crack open to get inside. She talked as if she were already in the shell. In their very shell." - Marita Bonner

Marita Bonner lives on as a beautiful voice from the Harlem Renaissance. Her work is often overshadowed by more well known names. However, Bonner's writing is every bit as eloquent and moving as Zora Neale Hurston or Langston Hughes. Her essasys and short stories are particularly gripping.

Try Maria Bonner's, "The Hands - A Story" and "One Boy's Story." I promise they won't disappoint.

Thanks for checking out the quote of the day, now go out and have a great one!
